Have you ever been so sure of something you just couldn’t wait any longer? Ever wanted something so much, the waiting was unbearable? We totally understand!!
As you all know, Charles and I have known each other a long time. We both were very careful and deliberate about taking our time to be sure we were ready to say yes to the best and the worst of each other for forever. And when we finally decided that together forever is what we wanted, we were ready to start that together forever right away! Once we had the dress, the suit, and the rings, we just couldn’t wait any longer. With just my mom and Charles’s dad, on April 6, 2024, we said “I do” at our church here in Fairbanks.
Our small ceremony was perfect for us. We had professional pictures and video of the entire ceremony, so you can also enjoy the sweet and funny moments that we loved. Like my mom’s prayer of thanks, and Charles’s dad’s prayer of blessing, and our pastor’s spot on impersonation skills. We look forward to sharing more of the details with you at our celebration.
We hope you don’t find this news disappointing. We know that celebrating the wedding day with a couple is lovely way to share your support as they start their new adventure. The one concern we had was whether we might regret getting to celebrate our wedding day with our favorite people. But we both know that your support is not just for our wedding day. Your support for our marriage is even more meaningful and powerful, and necessary. We are excited to celebrate our marriage with you all in July!
